Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film, “Dil Bechara,” an official remake of “The Fault in Our Stars,” will bow directly, free of charge, on the Disney Plus Hotstar streaming service on July 24. Rajput died of suspected suicide on June 14, aged 34. Following the actor’s death, Bollywood has been riven by unverified accusations of nepotism that allegedly led to Rajput’s death. A collective outpouring of grief amongst his fans has solidified into outrage at the manner of his demise. Several change.Org online petitions, with a combined 2 million signatures, now seek a detailed investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation, the state government of Maharashtra, and other government bodies. Some of the petitions name prominent Bollywood studios and key industry actors, producers and directors. “Dil Bechara,” is produced by Fox Star Studios India. Uday Shankar, president of The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific and chairman, Star & Disney India, said: “We play a small part in sustaining the legacy of a fine actor. In celebration of his life and his extraordinary work, ‘Dil Bechara’ will release directly on digital this July on Disney Plus Hotstar; and will be available to all subscribers and non-subscribers across India.” Mukesh Chhabra, debutant director of “Dil Bechara” added: “Sushant was not just the hero of my debut film, but he was a dear friend who stood by me through thick and thin. Never once did I ever imagine that I would be left alone to release this film. His love will guide us as we release it.”


 


“Never Imagined I Would Be Releasing Dil Bechara Without Sushant Singh Rajput” – Mukesh Chhabra 


Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film Dil Bechara will be releasing on digital platform Disney + Hotstar. The announcement was made on Thursday, June 26. As the actor shared a close bond with the film’s director Mukesh Chhabra, he penned an emotional note. Sushant Singh Rajput had promised to the casting director Chhabra that he will be part of his directorial debut in the future. The filmmaker never thought that he would be releasing his film without the actor. Sharing a poster of Dil Bechara, Mukesh Chhabra wrote, “Sushant was not just the hero of my debut film as a director but he was a dear friend who stood by me through thick and thin. We had been close right from Kai Po Che to Dil Bechara. He had promised me that he would be in my first film. So many plans were made together, so many dreams were dreamt together but never once did I ever imagine that I would be releasing this film without him.” He added, “There can be no better way to celebrate him and his talent. He always showered immense love on me while I was making it and his love will guide us as we release it. And I’m glad that the Producers have made it available for everyone to watch. We are going to love and celebrate you my friend. I can visualise you with your beautiful smile blessing us from up above. Love you” Sushant died by suicide on June 14 at his residence in Mumbai. Dil Bechara is a remake of Hollywood film, The Fault In Our Stars that starred Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley. The film was based on John Green’s novel with the same name.  






Sushant Singh Rajput’s Last Film Dil Bechara To Stream On Disney+ Hotstar From July 24 For Free 


Sushant Singh Rajput had finished shooting for Mukesh Chhabra's directorial Dil Bechara way before the lockdown was announced. The film will now be released on Disney plus Hotstar on July 24.  Dil Bechara which also stars Sanjana Sanghi is the official remake of the Hollywood film The Fault In Our Stars. Disney plus Hotstar took to their Instagram handle to announce the release of the film on their platform. Sharing a poster of the film, they wrote, "A story of love, hope, and endless memories.Celebrating the late #SushantSinghRajput's legacy that will be etched in the minds of all and cherished forever.#DilBechara coming to everyone on July 24. For the love of Sushant and his love for cinema, the movie will be available to all subscribers and non-subscribers." In memory of the late actor, the film will be accessible to everyone. Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14, 2020 in his Mumbai apartment, leaving the nation in shock.
